Book 2: A Dish Best Served Cold

Revenge is a timeless motive. Isn’t it peculiar how it can simmer for years, then explode, and the victim never sees it coming?

When top private investigator Ethan Jenks works undercover at a Nashville Christmas gala, a staged robbery and shocking drug-spiked drink exposes a three way race to retrieve an embezzled five million dollars.

With a rising body count, events rapidly escalate.

Ethan and his wife Michele (Mickey) follow the deadly trail, leaving Nashville for Ethan’s small Kentucky home town to uncover who’s behind the killings and why their family is targeted.

Simultaneously, his brother Logan plays international financial cat-and-mouse with his fraud partner from years ago.

All bets are off when his old partner, the student, takes on Logan, the teacher, to locate and recover the five million dollars. When Mickey is kidnapped by the killer, they learn he no longer wants the money, just sweet revenge.

Book 3: Faith, Hope, and Murder

An unknown killer is hunting in Nashville’s homeless camps, leaving their bodies in high-crime Bailey Park. To lure unsuspecting victims, he uses the pretense of a job offer from a trusted and respected name: top P.I. Ethan Jenks.

When Mickey is hired to find a missing teen, she goes undercover in Trestle, the city’s most violent homeless camp, but within twenty-four hours she learns he’s the latest victim. Trestle’s criminal kingpin has a long, volatile history with Ethan, and when he targets Mickey for a brutal beating she is forced to move to another camp. The undercover policewoman who saved her from the beating, reassigned to another camp, interrupts one of the kidnappings and has now been kidnapped herself.

Ethan takes over in Trestle and he and Mickey untangle a twisted web of deception involving two shadowy recruiters and a killer who believes his murders are part of a divine lesson he’s been commanded to teach. Clues lead them beyond the camps to remote farms and a labyrinth of underground tunnels where the killer’s true motives and depravity become horrifyingly clear.

The truth is darker than either of them imagined and the killer is always one step ahead. With the lives of two young men and the undercover policewoman on the line, he takes his intended victims to the one place no one would think to look: where it all began.

Book 4: The Stillness of Murder

It begins on a cliff in Tennessee. Gunman D.J. Burnett intends to end two lives with one shove—Ethan and Mickey Jenks, husband-and-wife Nashville private investigators. Ethan fights back, saving Mickey from a deadly fall. But the cliffside struggle is only the beginning.

What started as a hunt for answers in a legendary bar in the backwoods town of Gentry, Kentucky, spirals into a deadly trap of lies, threats, and family secrets buried for decades. Mickey and Ethan, along with Bowen, Tanner, Logan, and Tony, find themselves unraveling a web spun by bar owner Boomer Hutchins and the Burnett family—a clan as ruthless as they are unpredictable. At the center is Hannah Burnett, a manipulative matriarch who thrives on cruelty and control, and whose reach extends deeper than any of them could have imagined.

As Mickey and Ethan infiltrate the notorious White Dog Bar and the Burnetts’ world, every move places her under closer watch. Fires erupt. Threats escalate. And a single misstep could tip the balance between uncovering the truth and paying the ultimate price.

With Bowen, Tanner, Logan, and Tony at their side, Ethan and Mickey must navigate ambushes, betrayals, and a family empire built on violence. From the edge of a cliff to a snake-guarded safe, the investigation turns into a fight for survival—and a battle against a legacy of hate. When the final move comes, survival hinges on trust, precision—and whether Mickey can hold her ground when the past and present collide in one explosive reckoning.

Book 5: Sounds of Someday

Vanessa Warner claims she’s living in fear. Stalked, threatened, and desperate for protection. But Nashville P.I.’s Ethan and Mickey Jenks quickly discover that nothing about Vanessa is simple. Her stories shift. Her enemies multiply. And the trail of bodies keeps growing.

Every new revelation drags them deeper into her shadowy world of secrets and lies. A world where charm is as dangerous as cruelty, and truth is buried beneath layers of manipulation. As lies collide with deadly truths, Ethan and Mickey realize they’re facing a woman who thrives on chaos—and whose immovable fixation is far more dangerous than anyone imagined.

When Mickey is attacked with the same switchblade tied to another investigator’s murder, the team begins to see the full scope of Vanessa’s lethal, all-consuming obsession. For Vanessa, fantasy and reality blur into a single, powerful delusion: Bowen Lynch, Ethan’s right-hand investigator. To her, he isn’t Bowen at all—he’s “Beau Weldon,” the man she insists was once hers, the man she vows to reclaim “for eternity.”

As Vanessa tightens her grip on her fantasy, Bowen becomes the unwilling centerpiece in a dangerous game where obsession twists into violence. And through it all, a white rose, and the haunting music and lyrics of Radio Company’s Sounds of Someday—the song she calls theirs—plays like a chilling soundtrack to her unraveling mind.

Obsession. Manipulation. Murder. For Vanessa Warner, someday isn’t a dream. It’s a promise. And fulfilling it will cost the life of anyone who stands in her way.
